Major Billing Changes Announced for GeForce NOW Memberships

NVIDIA has unveiled significant updates to its GeForce NOW membership billing model, as announced on Reddit. These changes include the introduction of a monthly playtime cap and a rebranding of membership tiers.

⏱️ Introduction of 100-Hour Monthly Playtime Cap

Starting January 1, 2025, new subscribers to the Performance or Ultimate tiers will be limited to 100 hours of gameplay per month. Also This equates to approximately three hours per day. Also NVIDIA states that this measure aims to maintain service quality without increasing membership fees. Existing members will retain unlimited playtime until January 1, 2026, after which the cap will apply to all users.

🔄 Rebranding of Membership Tiers

The current Priority membership will be renamed to Performance, offering enhancements such as 1440p streaming, ultrawide resolution support, and the ability to save graphics settings across sessions. These changes are designed to provide a more streamlined and improved user experience.

Options for Additional Playtime – Billing Changes

Subscribers will be able to monitor their usage through NVIDIA’s dashboard. Unused hours can be carried over to the next month, up to a limit of 15 hours. Furthermore If users reach the 100-hour cap, they can purchase additional playtime: 15-hour blocks are available at $2.99 for Performance members and $5.99 for Ultimate members.

Limited-Time Offer for Existing Members – Billing Changes

To ease the transition, NVIDIA is offering a 25% discount on Ultimate and Performance day passes until November 22nd. Also These passes can be upgraded to monthly or six-month recurring memberships, allowing users to lock in a full year of unlimited playtime before the caps are enforced for existing members in 2026.
